                                          ARTIST STATEMENT

      Art has become an essential part of my life, and through out the years has served as a vehicle for expressing interpretations of my creative ideals, thoughts, emotions, and experiences.  Whether it is in my paintings, sculptures, photography, poetry, or short stories that I write, I am using my creative potential as a gateway to convey to an audience of individuals my aspirations, desires, visions, dreams, emotions, or thoughts.

     My work tends to reflect the characteristics of my personality, for example when I paint landscape scenes they carry a common theme of tranquility, quietness, and peacefulness, which are attributes to my character.  In my still lifes I instill simplicity, order, and cohesiveness, all of which are qualities in my character, and which I try to lead my life by. The intentions that I have with my art are simply for it to provide a conduit for people to release their curious fascination, and intriguing interests with art.  I want my art to not only move people, in a way that makes them think and re-evaluate their philosophies of life, art, and the world in general, but also to inspire them to develop creative passions of their own that will serve as a vehicle to express the feelings, thoughts, or emotions that they may have of their own. I want my art to help others discover the fun, and joy in being creative, and not to be afraid or skeptic about exploring into an uncharted area which they may be unfamiliar with to help broaden their horizons and open their minds to new ideals, philosophies, and perspectives which they had never dreamed possible before.
