jeremy jones Oil Painting
Jeremy Joneswas born in 1985. He studied Illustration at the Lincoln
College of Art and Design and the University College Falmouth, specializing in oil painting, watercolours and inks. Early motivation for Jeremy's work stemmed from Jenny Saville, Lucian Freud and Edward Hopper.
Jeremy is a part time Fine Artist and Illustrator based in Bracebridge Heath, Lincoln. From an art and design viewpoint Jeremy is interested in colour theory, lighting and atmosphere which resonate from organic subject matter in rural Lincolnshire and the coasts of Cornwall. Other inspirations for Jeremy's art derive from the figure and the structural, linear qualities found in local architecture. The paintings focus on the mood of the subject matter, incorporating textural layers of paint and thin glazes built up around obsessive detail.
