Diane Daversa painting/pastels
My artistic talent has always been a tremendous gift in my life. I love being an artist. I love to create. I sketch with pencil, charcoal and pastels. I paint with gouache, acrylic, watercolor and metallics. I enjoy working with all mediums and love to mix mediums especially gouache and pastels. I have always loved trees and have painted many landscapes. I also paint portraits of people, animals and homes. My favorite subject is the female figure. I am intrigued by its shape, color, curves and softness. I am not so much concerned with getting the anatomy correct as I am with exploring shape, form, color and movement. I received a BFA in Design from C.W. Post, LIU and studied painting privately. After being a designer for many years, I am now concentrating on pursuing my fine art, that is where my passion lies.
