Dennis J. Flynn was born
December 26, 1942, in Fennimore, Wisconsin. He earned his B.F.A. degree
at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, M.A. & M.F.A. at the
University of Iowa, and Post-Graduate at University of New Mexico. He
has been an Instructor of Art in various colleges and universities
including Minneapolis College of Art and Design, University of Texas at
Arlington, and the University of Idaho. Dennis has been exhibited widely in the United States and abroad including Ljubljana and Colombia. His most recent showings include: Fifth Annual Festival Chania (Crete, Greece, 2007), Buckaroo Ball (Santa Fe, NM 2007), First Evergreen Annual (Evergreen, CO, 2007), and Texas National (Nacogdoches, TX, 2007). Museum collections include San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Art Institute of Chicago and Minneapolis Art Institute.
Dennis was recently featured in the New American Paintings (Book #72 2007 Western Edition), The New Mexican’s weekly magazine Pasatiempo (December 21-27, 2007; pg. 46) and a variety of online articles.
